Asbestos and lung cancer caused by asbestos exposure usually begins in the lining of taste or respiratory tract, save that divides the body trachea and throat. But there are also cases where the disease and keeping began in other areas such as the trachea, bronchioles, or alveoli. Research shows that there is an increasing number of patients with lung disease among workers exposed to asbestos and more significant improvement in workers who smoked.
There are several methods used in diagnosing asbestos and lung cancer which include:
- Biopsy,
- Through a sample of sputum, and
- Imaging tests (X-ray beam)
Asbestos and lung cancer usually develops slowly or require a long time, but once that happens, the cancer cells will spread to other body parts. Very scary!
There are two types of asbestos and lung cancer:
Lung cancer small cell, cancer cells are round and small.
Lung cancer non-small cell, in which cancer cells is greater.
(+) But there is also a mixture of small cells and large cell cancer.
Smoking and asbestos is a deadly combination and enhance the development of asbestos disease and lung cancer. Once asbestos particles inside yourself, it will be difficult to treat and can cause permanent damage to your body that may not be remedied.
