Stage 4 lung cancer is the most advanced form of lung cancer. When dealing with lung cancer, this can mean several things. This could mean that the cancer had spread to both lungs, or has spread to areas surrounding the lung such as liver, kidney or bone. It also could mean that there has been widespread. If the disease has spread widely throughout the body of the possibility for long-term survival is greatly reduced and patient comfort was the main concern.

Life expectancy of Stage 4 lung cancer can be different for most people of a few people. It depends by several factors:

Although stage 4 lung cancer is usually not curable, it can be treated and may not only increase survival but also reduce the symptoms of stage 4 lung cancer. Some treatments currently being evaluated in clinical trials, and is expected to offer hope that the stage 4 lung cancer patients will increase the life expectancy will be.
